The central area youth worker’s role is to support the Somerset UK Youth Parliament within the Regional and National agenda. This involves organising nominations for new candidates, arranging elections and helping elected Members of Youth Parliament and their Deputies develop their manifestos and their work associated with this.
Kate also enables the UK Youth Parliament Advisory Group (UKYPAG) to meet once a month. Alongside the working UKYPAG agenda, a typical meeting will include regular assessments and allocation of funding and multi service consultations.
