Youth Bank

Somerset Youth Bank offers individual grants of up to £350 to enable young people to access positive activities.  A 'positive activity' is an activity taking place outside normal education hours that helps young people to gain new personal skills or develop existing skills.

As demand for Youth Bank funding is high and the amount available limited, priority is given to disadvantaged young people who would otherwise be unable to access positive activities. 

Applications are assessed by members of the UK Youth Parliament Advisory Group.

A new application form has been released (April 2012), please ensure you use this version and not an old one.

Applications are generally considered on the first Sunday of each month, and forms must be submitted no less than one week beforehand.  You can confirm the date of the next meeting by visiting the UK Youth Parliament web pages.
