Being Healthy
Home pageWelcome to the Somerset County Youth Service 'Being Healthy' microsite.
What does it mean to be healthy? Some might think that it's all about being super fit and lunching on a diet of lettuce leaves and rabbit food. Everyone can be a bit healthier and it doesn’t always mean radically altering your lifestyle.
You will find in these four sections: Sexual Health, Healthy Eating, Drugs & Alcohol and Health & Wellbeing, issues on eating a bit more healthily, how to protect yourself from infections, what drugs, alcohol, and tobacco do to the body, ways of managing stress, and how to include some exercise in your everyday routine.
All the factfiles give links to sites that can give you more detailed information on a particular subject. Where available we have also included phonelinks to direct you to specialist help and advice, or just chat things through with someone.
